AS FOR OTHER GAMES

The top-down shooter "Horny Police" and the boss rush "Round ZERO" (previously under the working title "combat platformer") are also wrapping up development, with art assets currently being worked on. Releases will be spread out more or less a month apart from one another.


We're also taking some time getting used to the 3D side of the Godot engine. Going into 2023 we plan on doing bigger titles.

So it's been a while since "Combat Platformer" (working title) had an update. But here are some screenshots showing how it currently looks.

This last few pics are the roughest looking because the 2 main assets that need to be added are level backdrops and the cutscene artwork. Aside from those 2 things, all the work left on the game is tweaking what's there.

A major hurdle that stalled development were the character assets. I needed to improve some of my 3D modeling skills, and this is the first time I've animated a game to this level. However all bosses have been finished and added to the game.

My goal is to release the game within 2022. There will be some features added in a post-launch update (like the training mode)

The game's coding is complete - it's all art asset generation and integration. Twitter is the best spot to keep up to date on progress, but the rundown goes...


  • CORE GAMEPLAY: 100% there but has placeholder assets over it
  • MODES: arcade and story will be available at launch, 2 additional modes are planned to be will be added in an update
  • CHARACTER MODELS: All molded, all rigged, but require minor adjustments and tweaks
  • CHARACTER ANIMATIONS: In progress, not integrated in-game
  • MUSIC: writer, integrated, but not final mixes or masters
  • SOUNDS: working on that next
  • EFFECTS ANIMATION: No progress
  • ENVIRONMENTS: No progress
  • MENUS: Layouts and functionality, but no final fonts or buttons
  • HUD: Same state and menu


It's not going to release this month sadly, will aim for next. Even with the "hard part" out of the way, I don't want to phone the last bit in.


Heads up, it's a short game, and simple if you compare it to consoles. But I do think it's a fun play, my favorite game I've made so far.

On top of the OneyPlays fangame I'm coding for Vudujin, I also got the gameplay completed for a survival top-down shooter. Art is being drawn right now by Kai-el-Jefe (who designed the family friendly game VORE), and the main gameplay is built (be it with funky placeholder assets)


This is the next CubePunks original project, if it comes out before or after the OneyPlays one, only time will tell (and smell).

Gameplay preview video

Progress has come along nicely, I'd say it's more than halfway done. Most of what's needed is implementing missing art/audio assets. Everything is functional (minus for the boss round game), with some additional polishing needed.

We’re working with Vudujin on the coding for a functioning based off his mock-up animation. Its a Wario Ware + Oneyplays mashup parody.

Also the art for our 4th original browser game, “Horny Police” is making progress on the art side. The main bulk of the code is also built. It should release shortly before or after the Oney Game.

here’s what’s on the agenda/progress we’ve made


-A good chunk of two games are coded, and no more than a week each to finish. But do to member’s schedules, the art for them will take additional time (said time not being definitive).


-We want to have our games available on mobile, but due to lack of experience with porting onto those platforms it’s is unknown how much time will be needed to achieve said goal.


-Our most recent title (my first kamikaze) is planned to have a deluxe/hd edition that adds extra content, new features and fixes the common criticisms. Due to the amount and types of additions being added, it makes much more sense to do it as a new release rather than a patch.
