GREEDY GOBLINS

For Halloween of this year, we're dropping a project we've been working hard on - Greedy Goblins. CubePunks will be releasing a submission in each of the main Newgrounds - Games, Art, Movies, and Audio.

THE GAME

Greedy Goblin's game is an 8bit micro dungeon crawler. There's a wide array of traps and fiends you'll have to navigate around - with your tools being bombs to blast obstacles and your wit. With 40 levels total, this is our longest and largest title to date.

Game will be available here on Newgrounds on October 13, 2023. An announcement trailer in will also be released, in the same style as our last one.

Shortly after the game's release, the gameplay melody will be released in the audio portal. Following that, the original soundtrack to our past games will also start becoming available on Newgrounds.

COMIC

For the Art Portal: Kai-el-Jefe has been hard at work drafting a one-shot comic. It expands on the game's world, and shares a lot in common with 80's movies and comics found in gaming magazines. Here are two character concept sketches of the main dwarf (player character from the game) and a Greedy Goblin.

We're really excited to get things wrapped up in our hard work. Speaking for me personally - I've basically been working non-stop since September; with my only day off being at the DMV. So here's hoping to a smooth launch next week, so I can get some rest in peace.
