TLDR: 2 big games in development - will release with a free browser ver and a paid full version
Because of that, I’ve been a bit neglectful towards public internet activity such as these blog posts. The latter half of this year is packed between travel and work for me, so expect this trend for the rest of the year.
PROJECT: “URBAN BRAWLERS”
Our new project: A tag-team belt scroller beat-em-up in a 5th gen art style. This is CubePunk’s first fully 3D game, as well as being based off the old Gako and RIo short.
The story will also blend visual novel into the genre, so fans of Space Girls Can’t Swim should keep a keen eye on this game. Choices will dictate gameplay scenarios, so you’ll have to explore all branches to get all the content.
Arcade mode will be playable in the free browser version of the game; with additional modes (like story mode) and features (like unlockable characters) in the paid only version.
The arcade has a good chunk of work completed - but it needs to be feature complete before any version is publicly released.
PROJECT: BREAK BEAK
We’ve talked a bit in the past about this one, our action platformer that’s had on and off dev over the past couple years. It’s all a matter of getting the assets and level design - but scheduling conflict prevents the last stretch of work being completed sadly.
The main story mode will be entirely for free in browser; with file saving and additional game modes being paid ver exclusive.
